Flavorful Open Face Oven S'mores - YUM!

This is a recipe for Open Face Oven S’mores that you’ll find easy to make. Make them large or small and customize them to your own taste easily with jams, chocolate hazelnut spread, nuts, lemon curd and more in addition to the usual graham crackers, chocolate and marshmallows. Pile on the flavors! And, there’s no need for a campfire – just use your oven.

This is a fun treat to make during any weather – sun, rain or even snow! Choose your toppings and organize them to make the Open Face Oven S’mores easy to make. Line up the flavors in an assembly line and let everyone make their own. You’ll layer the s’mores just like you do at the campfire, but you don’t need a campfire. You’ll put them in the oven to heat.

This recipe makes 12 Open Face Oven S’mores. Double or triple the ingredients listed below to serve even more.

Preheat your oven to 350F degrees.

Prepare your baking pan:

Place a parchment paper on your baking pan. No need to butter the pan or the paper.

Gather up your Ingredients:

12 Graham Crackers, squares

½ - ¾ C Chocolate chips

4 – 6 oz. Cream cheese, softened

½ - ¾ C Strawberry jam or jam of your choice

1 ½ C Mini-marshmallows

Make and Bake your Open Face Oven S’mores:

- Line your baking pan with parchment paper.

- Break up the graham crackers into squares.

- Place all the graham cracker squares on the baking pan.

- Spread each of the crackers with generous layer of cream cheese. (This helps the chocolate chips and marshmallows stay in place while baking. Plus, it tastes good!)

- Spread some jam on top of the cream cheese on each graham cracker square.

- Pile the chocolate chips onto each square.

- Next add the mini-marshmallows on top.

- Place the pan into the oven and watch them heat up. This will only take 2-3 minutes if you like the marshmallows melted.

- If you want the marshmallows toasted, place them under the broiler and watch them very carefully while the marshmallows turn golden brown.

- These are Open Face Oven S’mores, so I don’t place any graham cracker on top because they are so pretty as is. If you prefer, go ahead and add a top layer of cracker. If you do, be sure to have 24 squares ready instead of just 12.

- This is an especially tasty treat that can be made easily and quickly. The combination of flavors is delicious! Let the kids pile on their favorite toppings.

Be careful placing the pan of treats into the oven, only allowing adults to handle that part of the process.

Whatever toppings and flavors you choose for your Open Face Oven S’mores, have fun and, “Bake your own Memories!”
